The Senior Strategist we search for is a hybrid profile that is keen on growing expertise in the branding domains that range from Creative Copywriting to Brand Experience, from Insights & Analytics to Brand Culture. You will collect and organize findings, unearth insights, and help craft strategic concepts that will give life to striking Brand Expressions and unique Customer Experiences to maximize brands’ business growth.

The role

Our Senior Strategists influence senior level thinking and move the client to action, unlocking business growth for iconic brands. They are responsible for projects, undertake leadership to mentor juniors, lead projects within multidisciplinary teams, deliver extraordinary work, and grow client accounts.

What You Will Do

  • You will distill key insights to solve clients’ challenges via their brand through a strong balance of thought and action and a passion for understanding a clients’ businesses.
  • You will become the internal point of reference for the team for branding, insights, and strategic planning, by leveraging your vertical knowledge and your analytical and critical thinking skills. 
  • You will lead large complex projects with executive business acumen with curiosity, innovating the thinking process by framing the bigger picture, present and future, and by exploring possibilities with an eye to design and technology.

In short, you will have a collaborative, passionate and enthusiastic, result-focused approach grounded in firm strategy but flexible enough to excel in our changing world.  You will be based at the Milan’s WPP Campus, with the opportunity to do smart working.

Our ideal candidate has…

  • A deep, genuine passion for brand and branding
  • Restless curiosity, passion about people and how their needs change
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in a range of strategic brand solutions
  • Of which at least 2-3 year’s experience in leading a wide range of brand related challenges.
  • Of which at least 2-3 year’s experience in managing, facilitating or leading marketing/brand management teams.
  • Ability to work with senior management and experience in presenting to C-level executives
  • Ability to work across multiple sectors, from corporate B2B to B2C and CPG brands.
  • Ability to analyse data sources and synthesise information around insights, priorities and information gaps.
  • Ability to manage different priorities and projects simultaneously for themselves and the team. 
  • A true team player attitude: knowing when to lead and when to follow to advance collaboration and work effectively with colleagues, clients and partners.
  • A Master’s degree, with relevant focus on the likes of market research, marketing, communication, social sciences, business, or a related field.
  • Excellent verbal and written Italian and English skills. Spanish, Greek or Portuguese are a big plus.
  • Strong skills in MS Excel and Powerpoint.
